ABOUT US

A GRASSROOTS BEGINNING

WE WANT A NATION FILLED WITH CHIRST-CENTERED BELIEVERS, READY TO TAKE THEIR FAITH INTO THE REAL WORLD.

OUR MISSION

We exist to help emerging adults build a faith that is Biblically grounded, intellectually robust, historically aware, and ready for real responsibility. Leading scholars and practitioners open Scripture and map out the culture.

We aren’t afraid to tackle tricky issues. Together we form a community of worship, learning, and service. Our aim is simple: equip the next generation to think clearly, live faithfully, and lead with confidence—wherever God calls them.

OUR STORY

The Download has been running in various forms for well over a decade. It has always been an intensive program aimed at people who want to connect their faith to the real world. Since its launch, young adults have joined us from across Australia for a unique mix of deep teaching on Bible and culture, honest conversation, and a vibrant Christian community.

Hundreds have now graduated from the program, carrying fresh conviction and friendships that last long after the week ends.

A PARTNERSHIP THAT

MAKES IT POSSIBLE

The Download is a joint initiative of two organisations committed to shaping Australia for the common good.

LMI brings formation expertise and renowned faculty; ACL contributes nationwide networks and advocacy experience. Together they create a program that combines rigorous learning with practical insight into real‑world cultural and political engagement.

LACHLAN MACQUARIE INSTITUTE

Lachlan Macquarie Institute (LMI) is raising a network of wise Christian leaders for politics and culture who are biblically faithful, culturally intelligent, and positively engaged.

AUSTRALIAN CHRISTIAN LOBBY

Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) is working to ensure Christian conviction informs public policy and everyday life by engaging thoughtfully with lawmakers, media, and local communities.
